Something positive on Wall Street!!
Hip-hop pioneer and entrepreneur Russell Simmons is serving as the host of the Race to BE., the signature event of Global Entrepreneurship Week/USA. To kick things off, Simmons rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange last week prior to a press conference announcing details of Race to BE. Longview Photography was on hand to document the entire event from the bell ceremony to the action on the trading floor, and the behind the scenes reception on to the press conference itself...to get details visit http://www.unleashingideas.org/

Lions, Tigers and Snakes, Oh My!
We have taken photos at many "portrait stations", but none quite like this...On Saturday we captured an event's guests with Macaws and 75-pound albino Burmese Pythons named Daphne and Daffodil! Did you know that Macaws live to be 125-years old? We printed these images on-site so that guests could leave with a keepsake of the moment. Priceless!

Fun & Games
Give your staff some water guns and watch the fun beginning! We photograph tons of corporate events, but always love the ones where "management" lets the staff unwind and enjoy! Who wants a group photo with their colleagues? (We see these people everyday!) But add some props and laughs and then, it's a different story...

A Day for Portraits!
Last Thursday we scheduled 8 portrait sessions back-to-back in our studio. It was a hectic day with sessions scheduled 45 minutes apart, but the results were great and our team had a wonderful time working with the subjects to create unique looks that fit their businesses!
We are planning to schedule a monthly "portrait day" where we offer these brief sessions at a discount to our standard $350 rate. If you need an executive portrait and want to be notified of the next "portrait day", please email anne@longviewphotoinc.com. We look forward to working with you!

Last minute...
We recieved a last minute call from this couple with a request for photography for their engagement party. A friend who was due to shoot the party had to back out...
It's always a delight to photograph a party when the guests of honor, extended family and friends are appreciative (and fun!) This was certainly the case here...
The bride-to-be is a Nantucket-based artist. Check out her work at www.sagegoldsmith.com. Best wishes for your June wedding, Sage and Hunter!

Accept Performance-enhancing Drugs?
Bob Costas was the moderator for a recent debate that we photographed. The topic was whether steroids should be accepted in professional sports. I was fascinated to see that the 18% of the audience who were "undecided" pre-debate, were "for the motion" by the end. Click Here for the debate transcript.

Brad Bitt? Andy Rooney?
We received a call from this gentleman who needed a headshot for a write-up in CFA Magazine. His one request, "You'll make me look like Brad Pitt, right?" "Um, sure we will!" He arrived, I took one look at him, and thought, "Well maybe Andy Rooney!" Turns out we didn't need much work to accomplish that...between his looks and his voice, people often mistake him for the journalist...
